I was inspired to paint this after receiving a vintage postcard from Lebanon. The postcard had a technicolor feel which I wanted to preserve.

Hadley Sunflowers

Oil on masonite
A pair of 6"x6" squares
sold

I couldn't figure out how to display these two panels separately side by side, so I "stitched" the photos together for the landscape view. I am planning to frame each separately (in matching frames) so they can be hung as a pair. I'm pleased with myt expressive brushwork and atmospheric perspective of these paintngs.

Salty

6"x6" Oil on masonite

Here it is! I went with my initial sketch. I think "Salty" and "Sweet" make a very fun pair. I'm planning to add a couple more tastes to the series.

Kitchen Necessity

6"x12" Acrylic on paper

I painted this as my "impressionist spacial mix" assignment for a color theory class. I think I was successful in capturing the play of light in this piece and often refer to it when I need a reminder of how many colors can be used to describe a surface or object.
